You don’t need to love the camera. You just need to turn up.
Most people arrive at a shoot convinced they’re the exception: too awkward, too unphotogenic, or too busy wrangling everyone else to relax. Then something shifts. Shoulders drop. Someone laughs at the wrong moment. The kids stop performing and start being kids. That’s the bit I’m waiting for, and it’s the bit you’ll want on your wall.
