Why Your Business Photos Should Make People Feel Something

Trust isn’t built through logos or perfect caption. It’s built when people can see the person behind the brand. When you show up in your business, messy bun, nervous smile, full of passion, it makes your audience feel something. It reminds them you’re real. That’s where trust begins. In this post, I’m diving into why showing your face, your space, and your story matters more than you might think, and how it can transform the way people connect with what you do.

Your Love, Your Way: Why I Photograph Every Kind of Love Story

I’m here for the kind of weddings that feel like you. The ones with heartfelt vows, a dash of chaos, maybe some unconventional choices—and a whole lot of love. Whether you're loud and colourful or quiet and sentimental, big budget or backyard bash, I’m all in. Love looks different for everyone, and that’s exactly what makes it worth capturing. Beyond Photography

My blog isn’t just about photography, it’s about life, business, motherhood, and the messy, beautiful journey of figuring it all out. Over the years, I’ve learned that capturing a moment goes far beyond the click of a shutter; it’s about storytelling, connection, and the lessons we gather along the way. From navigating co-parenting and homeschooling a neurodiverse teen to building a business and fighting for inclusivity, my experiences shape the way I see the world, and the way I tell stories. So, if you’re here for perfectly curated photography content, you might get more than you bargained for. But if you’re here for honesty, reflection, and the occasional chaos of life as a creative, a mother, and a woman in business, then welcome. You’re in the right place.

Elevating Myself

For a long time, I poured everything I had into growing my business. Telling other people’s stories. Showing up for everyone else. And somewhere in the mix, mine got a bit lost.

Eventually, I realised that if I wanted my business to grow in a way that actually felt good, I had to start with myself. That meant setting boundaries. Saying no. Backing myself, even when it felt uncomfortable.

It wasn’t easy. But it’s been worth it.

This isn’t just about building a businessit’s about growing into the kind of person who believes she deserves the space she’s taking up.

And if you’re somewhere in that messy middle right now, just know: you’re allowed to take up space too. You’re allowed to grow without burning out. You’re allowed to choose you.
