Whatever you call it, this is my take on it. So sit back and Let me tell you a story…
Photography Is What I Do. Understanding People Is How I Do It.
Photography was never really the beginning for me.
Long before I picked up a camera, I was learning how to observe people through psychology, support work, travel, parenting and life itself. That's shaped the way I photograph today- not by chasing perfect poses, but by noticing the moments, connections and stories that make people feel like themselves. If you've ever wondered why my approach feels a little different, this is where it began.
Why authentic photos matter more than ever right now.
Life can be loud- full of pressure to reinvent, optimise, and become someone shinier than who we already are. And yet, this is often when we feel the most disconnected from ourselves. That’s why authenticity matters more than ever right now. Performative, polished imagery might catch attention for a moment, but it rarely creates connection, and connection is what we’re all craving. Authentic photos do something different: they feel timeless, build trust, and let us breathe. They reflect truth over trends, and truth has a much longer shelf life.
Your Privacy Matters: Why I Take It Seriously
Your story, your images, your privacy, always. In a digital world where personal information can feel exposed, I take your privacy seriously. If you don’t want your photos shared online, they won’t be. I’ve experienced breaches of my own privacy and know how unsettling it can be, which is why I handle every client’s imagery with care, respect, and complete control. Your trust matters, and your images are always in safe hands.
Why i decided to homeschool my autistic son
I never chose to be a homeschool teacher, but when school was calling me almost daily to pick up my autistic son because they “couldn’t cope,” I had no choice. The system wasn’t built for kids like him: crowded classrooms, minimal funding, untrained aides, and one teacher who created trauma thats extended well past his years at that school.
Four years on though and he’s thriving at home, reading, writing, creating music, learning Japanese, excelling in digital art. But the scars run deep, and every time that old system brushes our lives, I’m reminded why I had to rebuild my career, my life, and his education from the ground up.
Beyond Photography
My blog isn’t just about photography, it’s about life, business, motherhood, and the messy, beautiful journey of figuring it all out. Over the years, I’ve learned that capturing a moment goes far beyond the click of a shutter; it’s about storytelling, connection, and the lessons we gather along the way. From navigating co-parenting and homeschooling a neurodiverse teen to building a business and fighting for inclusivity, my experiences shape the way I see the world, and the way I tell stories. So, if you’re here for perfectly curated photography content, you might get more than you bargained for. But if you’re here for honesty, reflection, and the occasional chaos of life as a creative, a mother, and a woman in business, then welcome. You’re in the right place.
Elevating Myself
For a long time, I poured everything I had into growing my business. Telling other people’s stories. Showing up for everyone else. And somewhere in the mix, mine got a bit lost.
Between motherhood, running a business, and keeping all the plates spinning, I told myself I was fine. That this is just what it takes. But the truth? You can only pour from an empty cup for so long.
Eventually, I realised that if I wanted my business to grow in a way that actually felt good, I had to start with myself. That meant setting boundaries. Saying no. Backing myself, even when it felt uncomfortable.
It wasn’t easy. But it’s been worth it.
This isn’t just about building a businessit’s about growing into the kind of person who believes she deserves the space she’s taking up.
And if you’re somewhere in that messy middle right now, just know: you’re allowed to take up space too. You’re allowed to grow without burning out. You’re allowed to choose you.
